Established in 2013, we’ve been crafting beautiful oak cartlodges in our Suffolk workshop for over a decade. Combining planning and construction expertise with traditional British craftsmanship and sustainably sourced oak, we create bespoke timber structures that are built to last.

Located in the heart of Suffolk, Stour Valley Oak was formed when our two directors Mark Farrell - a master craftsman, and Paul Street - a chartered construction manager fused forces. With over 60 years combined experience in the construction industry, Mark and Paul wanted to create something unique; a customer-focused, luxury range of oak framed buildings, that would be individually designed and crafted to their customers specifications.

Applying a combination of traditional wood working techniques with modern design technology, their concept was an instant hit and grew organically through word of mouth, with customers returning time and again to seek the expertise, direction and quality assurance that Stour Valley Oak has become known for.

Today, a well established and respected company, we are privileged to be working right across Suffolk’s prestigious Stour Valley and Dedham Vale regions, creating timeless oak framed buildings that blend effortlessly with the natural beauty of our locality. Combining local styling with traditional crafting and joining methods, our structures have a premium build quality and superior aesthetic, meaning you can be confident that you’re making a lasting investment for your property as well as for the local landscape. Paul Street
DIRECTOR
Paul Street MCIOB, BSc, Director With a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Paul has extensive experience of managing prestigious builds; his diverse portfolio of previous projects includes The Channel Tunnel and The Arc Shopping Centre in Bury St Edmonds. Paul’s passion for construction, coupled with his precision planning skills will give you peace of mind that you’re in expert hands from the beginning to the end of your project.

Our Master Craftsmen Our niche team of accredited local carpenters, ground workers, roofers, plumbers, electricians and finishers are hand-picked to meet our exacting standards. Each uses traditional and highly skilled techniques to give a flawless end result to every project we undertake. Using their exceptional blend of skills, our well oiled team work collaboratively on all our projects, giving them a unique working bond and resulting in an uncompromising end product every time.
