At Stour Valley Oak, we find that some of our customers already have a team of preferred tradesmen and don’t require the use of our construction team. In this case, a self-build kit is the perfect solution. You’ll receive all the necessary materials, which have been cut to size and crafted with traditional joints by our in-house carpenters, giving you the quality assurance that you’d expect from Stour Valley Oak, yet allowing you the freedom to manage your own build.
 
Having your oak frame designed, measured and cut by our experts takes away a huge amount of work from your tradesmen, meaning they can get straight to work erecting your frame. Moreover, a self-build kit gives you the flexibility to supervise your own project, take control of the reins and coordinate your own team and in an efficient and convenient manor.

Each self build kit is cut and crafted individually, so upon ordering, our experts will talk you through the contents of your kit and offer the guidance you need to make your project as straightforward as possible. Just like our fully comprehensive services, all our self-build kits are crafted using traditional mortice and tenon joints and include all the timber members needed to construct a full oak frame, including granite staddle stones, oak pegs and steel pins. Crafted in our local workshop, all timbers are numbered for ease of construction, and our team is on hand to offer assistance where needed.
