Whether it’s a traditional cartlodge, a luxury garden room or a bespoke orangery, all our projects at Stour Valley Oak are intricately planned and professionally administered by our in-house experts, meaning we can offer full project management from initial consultation right through to finishing the surrounding area with hard landscaping.

Just like any construction project, there’s lots to consider with an oak framed structure, from design, to planning applications (where required), ground works and finishing. Each of these important processes plays an integral part in ensuring every structure we create is of the highest standard. And that’s why, at Stour Valley Oak, our key turn service means we’ll take care of every part of the process for you, ensuring a smooth transition between each part of the process, in an efficient manor and with the same high standard throughout.
OUR PLANNING SERVICE
From your initial consultation with us, through choosing and developing your design, to acquiring planning permission, our team of experts will take care of everything, meaning you can hand over your project with complete confidence and let us do the leg work for you. We’ll begin by discussing your design brief and helping you visualise your build. Following consultation, a site visit will allow us to assess any constraints and whether your build will require Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent or Building Regulations approval. While this won’t be necessary in some cases, if it is, our planning experts can submit your application, taking the stress and workload away from you.
GROUND WORKS & CONSTRUCTION
At Stour Valley Oak, our skilled construction team undertake all ground work requirements. An integral part of the build process, we construct our oak framed structures on robust foundations, to provides a firm, stable and level base. Starting from the ground up we’ll take care of the whole process from foundations, to concrete, block work and brick plinth, creating solid footings for your building.

HARD LANDSCAPING
Having constructed hundreds of cartlodges and stunning oak framed buildings, we know that our clients often require hard landscaping to finish the project. A beautiful sweeping driveway can be the ultimate compliment to your cartlodge, or perhaps you’ll need your entrance extended to lead right up to your new lodge. You may find you’d like a retaining wall to connect your structure to your existing buildings, or perhaps a patio or sleeper wall with add the finishing touch to your garden room, ensuring the final aesthetic is just right.
